Lost buildings after installation

hello,

I have installed LHBP today (version 1.3 build 4 -which was downloaded from simmarket)
Installation was as administrator, LHBP_objectPlacer.dll is place and active in the dll.xml file.

I run FSx as administrator but I still don't have any buildings. (this is both in DX10 as well as in DX9)
there is no item concerning LHBP in the fsx taskbar either

suggestions?

Hi

have you received any error message during the installation or fs start?

You might run the LHSproductact.exe at [FS root]\Addon Scenery\LHS_LHBP_X
It should say activation succesfull.

I have found, by accident, the problem.
After your post I did an unstall, cleaned my fsx.cfg and restarted my PC.
A new install gave me no error codes whatsoever, so I started FSX and there were all my buildings.
So problem solved, at least that is what I thought at the moment.
But since I have a tendency to create a 'clean and clear' scenery.cfg, I renamed the scenery in my scenery.cfg.
And that, I should not have done because all buildings were gone again...
Again I renamed the scenery to the original format and again the building reappeared.

lesson learned, do not rename the entries in scenery.cfg...

That is a noted issue. In the next version we will correct that behavior.

this behaviour is by no means a showstopper.
Great scenery (as are the freeware airports by the way...)

Hello,

I can confirm this problem, as soon as you edit the scenery.cfg and assign LHBP to a different layer, the buildings disappear and you have to completely reinstall the scenery.

I am editing my scenery.cfg frequently and therefore the layer for LHBP always changes. Unfortunately I always have to reinstall the scenery...do you have any news about an update, so that LHBP stays activated even if the layer is changed?

As long as you do not change the title of the scenery in the scenery.cfg it should work.

The dll checks the following term: Title=LHS_LHBP_X

This bug will be solved soon. It just took a little bit longer than we thought.

I have just checked again, and I have to report the problem again. The Objectplacer.dll seems to check not only the title as you stated, but also the layer!

If I install Budapest with the installer and it is assigned to layer 246 for example all the buildings can be seen in FSX. But if I change the layer to 247, suddenly I don't have anymore buildings in FSX. Please note, that I have not changed the title at any time, so it has to be the layer, because if I change the layer back to 246 again, all buildings show up.

Please could you fix this problem?

That is really really strange... I'll check.

When he founds the Title row after that the next what it is looking for the ACTIVE. It must be YES (or something like that I can't remember now, I'm not front of my PC)

Please give me some time. Before the weekend I have no chance to get front of my FSX.

In the meanwhile you could help me by sending the scenery.cfg before it is working and after it fails to load the objects. That might help to find out the problem.
