Great scenery
« on: September 08, 2013, 20:47:15 PM »
Congrats, you have a great scenery here. I only have one issue, there is no terminal, gates are there and everything else. My question, what have I done? FSX accel, Win7 64  FTX Global and all the LH stuff installed. The scenery requested my mesh resolution to 5m after it was installed, which I have done.
Win7 64bit, i5 2500K 4.2Ghz, Gigabit Z68X-UD4-BE, GSkill 12800 8gig ram, GTX560TI, WD 2t, FSX Accel, REX E+, FTX Global, Shade, UTX, GSX, Accu-feel, EZ Dok, Track IR5, Saitek Pro

Hi

We apologize. The scenery is not (yet) compatible with GSX yet.

Have you received any error message during installation?

The installation went well, no error messages. I do have GSX, were you referring to ORBX FTX Global as not being compatible?

I meant GSX. If you could turn off GSX than the scenery would appear. GSX is informed about that, they will solve the issue with the next release.

On more question during flight do you have the menu (see attached file)

Look fantastic and great fps! A really great scenery. :D

I had the same problem as Marvic. No menu. I found out that somehow the entry in the DLL.XML is not added upon installation. I had no errors anyway.

I added to my DLL.XML

<Launch.Addon>
        <Name>LHBP objectPlacer</Name>
        <Disabled>False</Disabled>
        <Path>Modules\LHBP_objectPlacer.dll</Path>
  </Launch.Addon>

And that did the job! I didn't have to disable GSX.

That is likely because of UAC protection.

Always install "As Administrator".

Well it was there at the bottom, but all jumbled up. Anyway put it in the proper format and restarted my computer and everything is working great an the scenery look great. Thanks for the help everyone.

I hope FSDT is fast.
Is it possible to turn off GSX??
And with GSX it is impossible to have the buildings? But GSX itselfs works?

If you do not activate the GSX functions, the scenery should work normally.

Likewise, the GSX will work normally - but you will lose the scenery functionality. (Although I don't know at this time whether jetways are GSX compatibile)

Ok, then I have a problem. :(
I read the troubleshooting but I still have no terminals.
The entry in the dll.xml is there but I don´t have a drop down menu with Budapest.
Installing runs fine as admin with no errors.

Did you try the solution I recommended in the FAQ:

If you could find these lines in dll.xml and the scenery is still not working try the following. Delete these lines from the dll.xml, save the file. Than open it again and write it in again by hand. (You can use notepad)

Allright, the next step would be to make sure you have the correct FSX version. The scenery is made for and tested on SP2. It might also work on SP1, but we recommend SP2 anyway.

If you have FSX SP2 or Acceleration, we would like to ask you to make a Simconnect log.

We could probably eventually make a tool to set that up, but for now.

The SimConnect.ini file
The default SimConnect.ini file will enable the debug window and disable the log file. Use a semi-colon to start a comment, or comment out a directive. The file should be in your My Documents\FSX Files folder.

Please find, backup, and then open this file, and set:
level=verbose
console=no
OutputDebugString=no
file=c:\simconnect%03u.log
next_file_index=1 (or whatever is set there)

Then proceed to start FSX, after you are at Free Flight screen you can turn the sim off.

You will find a file named simconnect1.log or similar on your C: disk. Please send it to us. Then you can return the default SimConnect.ini file so that your disk is not filled with logs while flying as usual.

I apologize, I've missed your answer.

Could you please send us your dll.xml to info@lhsimulations.com

Could you please do the following:
Could you please open the LHBP_Activator.ini (located at [FSX root]\Addon scenery\LHS_LHBP_X ) file with notepad and add in a new line : service

It should look like this:

Code: [Select]
[LHSimulations activator ini file]

For support please contact LHSimulations at www.lhsimulations.com/forum/
DO NOT CHANGE THIS FILE!

service

Launch the LHBP_Activator.exe. On the new window a Save log button should appear. Please save the log anywhere on the computer and send it to us to info@lhsimulations.com

After you sent us the dll.xml and the log. You could try the following:

On flight1 webpage there is a tool called : FSX DLL.XML Viewer and Repair Utility (25KB)
Please download and run it. Try to move the LHBP section maybe 1 or 2 places up. This tool should correct all problems.

Than try FSX.

Thank you!
