LHS_LHBP_X - P3D v3 fatal error

Hello,

I´ve purchased LHS Budappest LHBP 2 days ago.

Problem:
After installing Budapest_LHBP_v13_FSX_P3D_P3Dv2_Build9 
P3D v3 crashed with fatal error, extract of the fatal error message is glowing below

Additional Information:
After removing LHS_LHBP_X from the scenery.cfg P3D v3 starts normally.

HAve started LHSproductact as administrator

LHBP_objectPlacer.dll is in folder Modules

dll.xml includes inter alia:

I´ve tried to follow the instructions but without success.

As you can see on the attached picture, after starting LHSimulationsSceneryConfigurator there is no button for simconnect log and also no button to save the logs.
Enlarging window was not possible.

It seems the content of the window does not fit into the window. Strange. Do you use any "Ease of access center" option? Like Magnifier etc.?

Thanks for the tip.

Two of three log files were sent few minutes ago to ( info@lhsimulations.com )
There is no log file called default.papaPhi_log_ on my C drive maybe due to the P3D fatal error crash at the beginning.

Hello,

I have reviewed the occurence, and it seems that the DLL might be trying to access a location it isn't allowed to. Which, as a principle, should not happen, but it's not always obvious when designing this or that feature.

So as a first step, and possible temporary fix, could you please try running the simulator "as Administrator"?
I will then try to work with you further to find the original problem.

Sure, we can try it.

I try to explain what´s happened. ( P3D as well as LHBP files were started always as Administrator )
After starting P3D with installed LHS_LHBP_X, P3D crashed with fatal error. After removing LHS_LHBP_X from the scenery.cfg, P3D starts normally.

I´ve started P3D without LHS_LHBP_X in the scenery.cfg and opened the P3D Scenery Library and added manually the path C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Addon Scenery\LHS_LHBP_X and choose the LHBP Airport. This time LHBP Airport opened without buildings only jetways were shown ( LHsimulations Budapest was not listed in Add-ons ). After closing and starting P3D again P3D crashed with fatal error. And after removing LHS_LHBP_X from the scenery.cfg, P3D starts normally............

Sorry for a rather later reply. As you can imagine, time shortly before Christmas can get quite busy in some occupations as people try to get everything done before leaving for the holidays.

In any case, please do:

-check for file C:\LHBP_log_#.log (if there isn't a default_papaPhi_log_ file)

-If not present, please check file: "%APPDATA%\LHSimulations\LHBP_log.ini" (just put this address in your Windows Explorer navigation bar, i.e. where your current position in filesystem is shown.
There you should see something like this:

file_name=C:\LHBP_log_
Please make sure that level=4 - else change the value to this.
You can also try changing the location in the file_name value, to a different disk, or a different folder.


It is strange if you don't get a log, as this is done sooner than check of scenery presence in the CFG, so if the program crashed because of logging, it should not matter if you have the scenery in the cfg file. A log would be helpful to tell us when the crash happens.

Have changed my LHBP_log.ini to:

file_name=C:\LHBP_log_


my previos LHBP_log.ini :

file_next_index=6
file_name=C:\LHBP_log_

I´ve changed the ini as requested but there is still not yet a default.papaPhi_log_ visible on my C:\ drive. Only simconnect.log & LHBP_Acivatorlog_.log available.

Hello Bata,

I've been trying to think of something that would make your logs not appear, but couldn't think of anything.

Can you try changing the default log location? i.e. change the file_name parameter from C:\LHBP_log_ - create a fully writeable folder Logs and use C:\Logs\LHBP_log_ or use D:\LHBP_log_
